Food Preservation
Tools for keeping food edible longer — vacuum sealers for the freezer, containers for the fridge and bag sealers for everything already open. Pick by what you currently throw out.
Freezer, fridge, pantry: different jobs
Freezer storage needs air removed to stop burn. Fridge storage needs a fast open-and-close. Pantry snacks just need the bag shut. Matching the tool to the shelf saves the most food.
Start with what you throw away
If it is herbs and greens, start with containers. If it is bulk meat, start with a vacuum sealer. If it is half-eaten snack bags, a mini bag sealer is enough.
Build the kit over time
Most kitchens end up with one sealer, a handful of containers and a bag sealer in the drawer. You do not need all three on day one.
